Office drama 2 (real life updates included)

If anyone didn't know, some pretty big things have happened to me recently. Firstly, I shipped off to New Zealand, which has been exciting and beautiful and warm! I'm having lots of fun and I can't wait to see what the rest of my time here has in store. My classes don't start for another week, but I'm lowkey excited to see how they go and get into a bit of a routine. It has been fun having lots of freedom thus far, though. I've gotten to see a lot of Auckland (though I'm sure there's still very much to explore) and it's been nice to become acquainted with the NZ living. I'm happy to say that I have negative notes on this front. Unfortunately, in regards to my second life, things have not been going as well. Michaela and Austin broke up in a nasty feud, which resulted in Austin packing up shop and moving out to Mobile. Michaela's still clearly in a pretty bad state, and the fact that our new accountant, Gerald, is a real hard-ass is certainly not helping. The office is direly missing their chemistry, and I'd have to say that morale is at an all-time low. On top of all that, the Lenny shit has gotten so much deeper than any of us could have though. After he got the King of the C his territory, the King let him come back but still had him on some sort of leash. Lenny came back to work for about a week or so, and then none of us have seen him since. Shadow's come by a couple times and has assured us that Lenny's still alive, and that the King of the C just needs to wrap up some loose ends that they opened on their expansion mission. Thing is, we all think King of the C needs Lenny as leverage over Ms. Sánchez, because it turns out that when the King of the C had come into our office, Ms. Sánchez had paid him off to get him to leave, and the King thought that he could get some good ransom money out of her in exchange for one of her employees. But, in another shocking blow to morale, it turns out that Ms. Sánchez had been meaning to get rid of Lenny anyways, and so she simply does not plan on paying for him to come back, and now a mutinous vibe is spreading around the office. It's pretty clear that tensions are gonna boil over soon, at least if Lenny doesn't come back. I sent out an email to see if people would be comfortable pitching in and approaching the King of the C as a group, but that idea was not met with much enthusiasm. People are pretty peeved at Ms. Sánchez, and it seems as though both sides are stubborn enough to let Lenny remain captive for quite some time. All I hope is that our friend can find his way back home soon, but everyone's so on edge, it's gonna take a miracle. My prayers go out to Lenny and his family. I did manage to set up a meeting with Shadow after work tomorrow, which should hopefully yield at least some progress, as he will be able to provide me with some information that should bring me closer to freeing Lenny. Whenever Shadow has come to our office, the King of the C has sent some goons to make sure he doesn't tell too much, but Shadow has assured me that our meeting will be one-on-one and fully confidential, which seems promising, but I also could be putting myself in extreme danger. The King of the C is ruthless and tactical, and this whole thing could be a setup, but I really don't have any other options. My one ask for you all is that you boycott all citrus products, maybe if we can start a movement against the King of the C, a financial hit will convince him to finally release our friend. Lastly, someone replaced all the sugar packets in the break room with salt packets, and while the look on Wolfgang's face was hilarious when he salted his coffee, providing some much-need comedic relief, I would very much like to find the culprit, not necessarily to punish them but just to reclaim the lost sugar packets (sugar costs a lot these days). Hopefully my meeting goes well and this whole mess clears up soon, but I honestly can't say what I think is gonna happen. Regardless, I'll keep you guys updated on the situation (unless, of course, I get whacked, but, like I said, we'll see).
