BACK FROM HIATUS

Friends, I am pleased to announce that Eli's Epic is officially back in action. It's been an interesting week and a half hiatus, but I believe that it has supplied me with many great lessons that I will take with me in the coming weeks and utilize in order to ensure an optimal blog-reading experience. During my hiatus, I learned a few things about myself, especially regarding my relationship to this blog. In my time away from Eli's Epic, I discovered just how truly quintessential it is for my being. I also learned a really mean pesto recipe but I'm gonna save that for a special occasion. It's late and my computer's almost dead and so this post may soon be meeting a premature end, but I promise (for real this time) that the golden age of Eli's Epic is not behind us. The future shall see works the likes of which none have ever seen, nor even imagined. Dare I say some of this shit is gonna blow your fucking mind. Expect new mediums, new stories, new explorations, and maybe even some stuff that's not new at all. Regardless, know that this is only the beginning, and that the full potential of Eli's Epic is just starting to be tapped. I'm looking forward to having you accompany me on the journey in front of me. The best is yet to come, and big things are on the way...

My top 10 favorite songs (revisited (again))

Had the idea to do another one of these last night, and it turns out I made the last one exactly one year ago today. The list had definitely seen some major changes in the last year, but I won’t give anything away. Here’s the list: Honorable mentions: America - “Sister Golden Hair,” Gorillaz - “Rhinestone Eyes,” Blaze Foley - “No Goodwill Stores in Waikiki”  10. Simon & Garfunkel - “The Boxer” Not sure what really got me into this song, but I just cannot get over that tuba (or whatever it is). I don’t think I have too much more to say just a beautiful song.  9. Steely Dan - “Do It Again” This song reenters the list for the same reason it was on it in the first place: the groove. Also, I think the mythos of this song has just continued to grow on me over time; the more people I’ve listened to it with, the stronger its aura gets.  8.
