Make time base-10

Hopefully I can keep this post short and sweet, as I would hope the premise is fairly simple: why the fuck do we measure time the way we do? As much as I hate to admit it, time is real, and it is an unavoidable facet of our universe. That doesn't mean that we have to measure it in the stupidest fucking way possible. You know how much shit Americans get for not using the metric system (which is, objectively, far easier to use because of BASE-10 CONVERSIONS)? Well, where is the same energy when the discussion shifts to time? Do you know how ridiculous it is for there to be 365 days in a year? Who chose that? "Scientists?" 24 hours in a day? Hello? Are we for real? 60 minutes to the hour and 60 seconds to the minute? What does that mean? Why 60? That sucks. There should be 500 days in a year, which is just one half of a kiloday (2 years). Each kilo day is comprised of 10 hectodays (month), 100 dekadays (week), 1,000 days (days), 10,000 decidays (hours), 100,000 centidays (minutes), 1,000,000 millidays (seconds), etc. (our current units would not translate to this measurement of time, of course, so while there only being 10,000 seconds in a day would not make sense now, our current concept of the "second" would be obsolete). Obviously I'm not sure how this concept would logistically work—how long, relative to our current units, each of these units would be—but I can say that it would almost certainly be better. "Why can't this be our reality?" you may ask. The answer is simple: there are two, collaborating million (billion?) dollar industries working to keep the status quo and maintain disorder in the world of time. Of course, I'm referring to the Big Clock and Big Calendar industries, who, for centuries, have put vast quantities (yet small in proportion to their mountainous profit streams) into the erasure of a perfect time-measurement system. They intentionally made the current time units as confusing as possible so that any ordinary person could not be able to convert our current system into one that would make much more sense—and put them out of business. Couldn't they just adapt to the new system? No. Big Calendar has capitalized on the need to buy a new calendar each and every year for generations, which would become obsolete with the new system, thus putting them out of business. On the other hand, the twelve-numbered analogue clock, as pioneered in the late Renaissance era, was developed using Satanic rituals that ensured the most aesthetically pleasing clock face within the realm of human comprehension. Thus, Big Clock knows that any attempt to change their sacred product would drastically impact sales. We need to stop these monopolistic corporations before they eliminate all hopes for a better world! ¡Viva la revolución!
